This entrance is deceiving, as it is in a home, and you actually enter through Olio. It is truly a unique space unlike any other though. Transported to the inside of someone's living room, it has a cozy feel that doesn't seem overly pretentious or boisterous. It feels like a quiet evening at home, amongst friendly acquaintances. The food was delicious and plated beautifully. However, the lighting made snapping a decent photo nearly impossible it was a lesson in accepting limitations and enjoying things in the present. Loved the Thai smoked scallops, fancy butter and divine breads, the crepe lasagna dish, and the desserts. The price seems a bit high but still reasonable for the quality of food and service delivered. Definitely a worthy experience.

You get what you pay for. Exceptional service, well conceived tasting menu, and thoughtful pairings. They offer tiered service, so it's not as stuffy as the price point would imply if you're going all out. The best part was they delivered on their menu. Bonus points for the knowledgeable sommelier and the very charming Portuguese waiter who has half a century of experience under his belt.

Elaia is our absolute favorite restaurant in St. Louis. It's perfect for any special occasion. So perfect that we picked it for our last dinner as a family of 2! We came for the NYE tasting dinner. We started with Ben's caviar (incredible) and Elaia's famous bread. The tasting menu changes, but I can attest it is always delicious. They offer an excellent wine pairing that I highly recommend! The staff is always attentive and extremely knowledgeable.

We went here for my birthday dinner and everything exceed our expectations. The server and all staff was extremely friendly. The food was amazing and all of the plates had a different personality but it all flowed seamlessly. We did the prix fixe and also added the burrata (which was amazing!) small and intimate space perfect to celebrate a special occasion.

Where do I start? My fiancé and I booked this for Valentine's Day weekend, and they had a set menu. We were able to look it over before hand, and we were so excited. His complaint was that everything had to be paid before PLUS tip that was automatically added, as people who have worked in the industry before, you worry that if you tip prior, you won't get as good of service, but they proved that wrong. We walked in and we're immediately seated, they are VERY COVID friendly. We opted not to do pairings because we were worried we would get too drunk, so he had a beer and I had a Manhattan, which was perfect. I wish I had taken more photos, but I was so engrossed in the food, that obviously didn't happen. They started with some complimentary champagne which was awesome, and a bread selection. All the breads were so good! I could have just eaten a loaf of each for dinner! All the courses were super delicious with INSANE flavor profiles. I think we said "woah" about 100 times during dinner. We were especially a fan of their whipped potatoes. They ended the night with a truffle for each of us, which was amazing. My only complaint it the price for what you get,l. We've been to other restaurants across the country that charged the same amount and we tend to see more like 7-10 courses around the same price. I think we assumed the courses would be bigger, but they weren't. My fiancé left still hungry, which is fine, but for more than $100/person on a meal, that should be the case. And my fiancé isn't a big guy. Overall, you pay for the experience. Service is top notch. Food is phenomenal.

I booked a reservation online via Tock, which is always easy. I chose the pre fixe menu with premium wine pairing. The biggest fault I made was associating Elaia with Olio. They are two distinct entities with different objectives, different menus and dining experiences. Dining in at Elaia is an experience like none other in St. Louis, especially in Tower Grove. It's fine dining. You get a seven course pre-fixe meal with wine pairings. Everything is magnificent. The bread starters come with both sorghum and smoked paprika butters. The smoked paprika butter is tasty, powerful and pairs well with the saltier bread. The sorghum is sweet and goes well with the lighter bread. The wine pairings were on point. Everything went well with each dish. The service was excellent. Each dish was amazing. The French onion soup had Japanese notes with a touch of sweetness. The beet dish had the perfect amount of spice to remind me of India. The mushroom was amazing, as was the steak, and the bread pudding was probably one of the best I've had in St. Louis. Overall a wonderful experience with great food. A bit expensive, but fair for a fine dining experience.

Elaia is a perfect spot for fine dining in STL. It's located right above its sister restaurant, Olio. The tasting menu changes nightly. We tried the four course tasting menu and the food did not disappoint. The course started with a bread basket with different breads paired with a turmeric butter and a spicy smoked butter. We had a Prawn bisque for the first course, sea scallops for the second, duck for the third course and a chouquette for our last course. The meal was perfect! All the ingredients were fresh and delicious. You can add on a wine pairing with dinner or order drinks off their cocktail menu. The cocktails were very good too! The servers were prompt and polite. They took time to go over the menu and explain the dishes as they came out. The restaurant was great at enforcing COVID guidelines.
